Career

Professor, Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Yamagata University
After working in product development of cosmetics and body cleansers at Kao Corporation, he was transferred to Yamagata University, where he has been in his current position since 2017. 
He specializes in physical chemistry, surface chemistry, and cosmetology. He has studied the dynamics of interfacial phenomena on biological surfaces, the development of emulsions, solubilizers, and foam formulations using surfactants, and tactile/texture sensing in cosmetics and foods. 
He is the author of "Cosmetics Science" and "Interfacial Chemistry for Cosmetics, Quasi-drugs, and Pharmaceuticals" (both published by Fragrance Journal).
